Hello!
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Behavioural Development Unit (CCA–CSBC) at Collegio Carlo Alberto in Turin, and External Fellow at the Discrimination & Inequality Lab (D-Lab, IPP-CSIC) in Spain.
My research examines how social norms regulate behaviour across social groups — studying when norms permit or sanction discrimination, polarization, and social sorting along lines of political identity, gender, and socioeconomic background. I rely on laboratory and survey experiments combined with causal inference to measure social phenomena that resist conventional observation.
I am currently leading the methodological development of a behavioural measure of social norms being deployed in a large-scale survey in Uttar Pradesh, India, to examine gender norms and their links to women's social and health outcomes.
